Stonington Vineyards, located between the beautiful Stonington Borough and Mystic, CT was established by Nick and Happy Smith in 1987 when purchasing 58 acres in the Stonington Uplands. The winery was constructed in 1989 incorporating the latest in winemaking technology and the traditional methods of oak barrel fermentation. Stonington Vineyards is one of the founding members of the CT Wine Trail.

From the start, Mike McAndrew has been the Winemaker, garnering a reputation for producing premium quality, European-style wines that have won numerous awards over the years. Stonington is best known for its barrel-fermented Chardonnays and its proprietary blends. What makes Stonington Vineyards unique is not just the vines, location, and microclimate…But the people who dedicate their lives and careers to making our vineyard what it is today for everyone to enjoy.

The winery is a romantic setting for a day of picnicking and wine tasting, attending fun events, or as the perfect setting for your private event.  The winery is open 7 Days a week, year-round, and offers numerous events including festivals, concerts, pre-release events, and more!
