What began in 1993 as a hobby quickly became a labor of love. Taylor Brooke Winery, established by Richard (Dick) and Linda Auger in 1999, started with 300 hand planted vines. Each year, more vines were hand-planted and now we have 7,200 vines producing over half of our wines. We received our Farm Winery Permit in November of 2003, and our tasting room opened in June 2004. Located in the “Quiet Corner” of NE CT, on what was once one of the oldest and largest farms in town, we cultivate our vines and create our wines to reflect the essence of living… strong roots, a tender touch, caring manner, nurturing environment, and a commitment to quality. It’s a philosophy that works for our family; it’s working for our wines.

Currently we create 17 small batch wines… dry, estate grown whites and reds…fun, fruit-infused Rieslings…a trio of dessert wines; wines for every occasion and palate. We are proud to say we were the first winery in the State of CT to produce a brandy made from 100% estate grown wine; The Spirit of Woodstock. Come for a wine tasting, stroll through the vineyard on a self-guided tour, have fun shopping in our gift shop, bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the vineyard or select some fine CT Grown cheeses, and other CT made food products to enjoy with a glass of wine on our patio and find out why people say “It’s worth the trip!”

Our mission is to produce a variety of high quality wines from grapes grown on site and procured from local farms. We believe that agriculture is an important part of the community and by establishing this winery and associated vineyard, we will be able to continue the tradition of farming.

People are captivated by the quiet, natural beauty of our vineyard. Guests are able to steal away to any of our adirondack chairs scattered throughout the property for private moments, or relax with wine and friends on our covered pavilion, a lively, warm and welcoming gathering space.
